Traditional Information*

Codonopsis is used extensively in China as a substitute for Ginseng. Codonopsis tonifies the Chinese stomach/spleen, strengthens endocrine function (adrenals, hypothalamus, Isles of Langerhans) and nourishes the immune system. It is used for tiredness and fatigue, immune deficiency, organ prolapse and adult onset diabetes (type II).
