Traditional Information*

Damiana has an interesting history. It has long been used for supposed aphrodesiac properties. It is not an aphrodesiac, but is a mild antidepressant and carminative used for flatulence, dyspepsia, biliousness and mild depression with loss of libido. It is also of benefit for “stagnant” depression along with Lavender and Basil.
