Traditional Information*

A South African herb that is primarily used for osteoarthritis. The tuber is an anti-inflammatory, a cholagogue, a mild liver tonic and a diuretic. The specific indications are arthralgias with stiff, painful joints and liver/gallbladder conditions with itchy skin.
