Prince Seng is called Ginseng of the Lungs in Chinese medicine. It is a yin tonic, mild adaptogen, demulcent and nutritive. It is useful for dry, irritated lungs, dry coughs, emphysema, post-pneumonia debility, fatigue (with Schisandra) and deficient spleen patterns.
